Get Out And Play (GOAP) is a free activity and sports day in North Vancouver for families. It is run by community members and is open for all to enjoy.
To promote social bonding, confidence and team-building skills for children and families through activities and sports in a fun and non-competitive environment.
GOAP is open to everyone, whether you are a parent, child or someone looking to have a good time and meet new friends. We encourage families to come out together and enjoy the event. All skill levels are welcome!
Why a sports day?
Sports and activities are a great way to have family fun. A community sports day can bring families together and give them a chance to connect with others. It’s also a great way for children to make new friends, learn new skills and build their self-confidence.
Whether you are playing a game of soccer, tossing a bocce ball with a friend, or running to catch a football, sports can promote stronger connections among people and build stronger communities.
The event would not be possible without the help of our volunteers. Our volunteers are people just like you: community members. Their commitment and leadership in creating a space for families to have fun is the foundation of GOAP.
Reza Ghannadan is the founder of GOAP. He is a physiotherapist working in North Vancouver, BC at QubeCore Sports & Rehab.
His vision is to create a fun, interactive and social sports day for families and children in the North Vancouver community. Through sports, he believes we can build confidence, improve our health and strengthen our communities.
